A tanker laden with 33,000 litres of petrol overturned at Olorunsogo, along Lagos-Ibadan expressway spilling its content.
After the accident, residents were seen using buckets and kegs to scoop fuel.
POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that the incident occurred on Thursday morning as the tanker laden with 33,000 litres of fuel fell.
Per Eyewitnesses account, despite the presence of some operatives in the area, the residents continued scooping the fuel unabated.
”Many of us around that area cannot open our shops. We are warning these people scooping fuel, but they wouldn’t just listen to us,” Shola Aina, a resident, told the press.
