The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has personally visited the site of the collapsed seven-storey building in First Avenue, Banana Island, Lagos.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that accompanying him on the inspection were key officials, including the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Tayo Bamigbose-Martin, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, and the General Manager of the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LABSCA), as well as other engineers.
This newspaper learned that the purpose of the visit was to conduct an on-the-spot assessment of the situation and determine the cause of the tragic incident.
