The Senate has frowned at the hasty concessions of the Aminu Kano International Airport and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by the previous administration, merely six days before the end of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the Senate has called upon its yet-to-be-constituted Committee on Aviation to conduct a comprehensive investigation into all airport concessions initiated during the previous administration.
The aim is to gather essential information and provide the Senate with necessary recommendations.
These decisions were reached after the Senate deliberated on a motion titled “Urgent need to reverse the concession of Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano,” which was presented by Senator Kawu Suleiman (NNPP – Kano South).
Furthermore, the Senate has urged the Federal Government to consider a potential review of the entire airport concession process.
