JUST IN: Service chiefs meet to free Kaduna train attack victims

The Service chiefs are currently in a meeting discussing how the victims of the March 28 Kaduna train attack will be freed.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that in attendance at the meeting holding at the Force headquarters, Abuja, is the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Lucky Irabor; the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, and other service chiefs.

The Service chiefs are also expected to discuss strategic plans for the 2023 general elections following the recent alarm raised by the Department of State Service (DSS) that terrorists are planning to bomb worship centres and public places.

Insecurity in Nigeria is disturbing. At least 29 persons were killed by non-state actors across Nigeria last week between April 17 and 23.

More than half of the victims were killed in the North-eastern region by suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists.

Unlike previous weeks, there were less killings in the North-west which has been under attacks by bandits.
