JUST IN: Task Force Rescues 13 people abducted by bandits in Zamfara state

The Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI (OPHD) has rescued 13 kidnapped individuals in Zamfara State.

The rescue mission was conducted along Gobirawan Chali and Dangulbi areas in Maru local government area.

The 13 victims, all from Mutunji village in Dansadau Emirate, Maru LGA, were abandoned by fleeing terrorists and have now been freed.

According to a military statement, medical treatment and debriefing are underway as they await reunification with their families through the Zamfara state government.

Additionally, the troops cleared a notorious terrorist hideout at Gidan Jaja in Zurmi LGA, further disrupting criminal activities in the area.

In a parallel operation, 11 suspected logistics suppliers linked to a notorious terrorist, Halilu Sububu, were arrested at Kwanar Boko in Zurmi LGA. The suspects were intercepted while transporting essential supplies for the said terrorist figure.
