JUST IN: APC NWC Holds Closed-Door Meeting With Governors in Abuja

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently in a closed-door meeting with the leadership of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the meeting convened by the NWC led by Senator Abdullahi Adamu, marks the first interaction between the committee and the newly appointed chairman of the PGF, Governor Hope Uzodimma.

Present at the ongoing meeting are distinguished figures such as Senator Adamu, the party’s National Chairman, alongside notable NWC members including Senator Iyiola Omisore (National Secretary), Senator Abubakar Kyari (Deputy National Chairman – North), Emma Enukwu (Deputy National Chairman – South), Barr. Festus Fanuter (Deputy National Secretary), Salihu Mustapha (National Vice Chairman – North East), Lukman (National Vice Chairman – North West), the National Legal Adviser, Dayo Israel (National Youth Leader), Betta Edu (National Women Leader), and Tolu Bankole (National Leader – PWD).

Among the governors attending the meeting are Governor Uzodimma of Imo State, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRasak of Kwara State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Governor Abiodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, Rev. Hyibcent Alia of Benue State, Diko Rada of Katsina State, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, and Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State.

Sources within the party have revealed that the meeting will focus on setting the agenda for the upcoming National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday respectively.
