A three-storey building under construction has collapsed in Awosika area of Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State capital, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.
It is not yet clear if there are causalities, as details of the incident are still sketchy.
Building collapses are a worryingly common occurrence in Nigeria.
On Sunday, a seven-storey building at Oba-Oniru Street, near Sand Field area of Victoria Island, Lagos, collapsed, killing at least six people.
Last Tuesday in Kano state, at least two persons were killed after a multiple-story building collapsed.
Last November, at least four people were killed after a multi-story building collapsed in Badagry, Lagos.
Also in the same period, a high-rise block of luxury flats under construction in Ikoyi, Lagos, collapsed. At least 42 people died.
And in 2019, the collapse of two separate buildings in Lagos, including one housing a school, left dozens of people dead.
An expert said many buildings were at risk of collapsing across Nigeria.
