President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Tobi Amusan for winning a silver medal in the women’s 100m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
In a statement on Tuesday by Bayo Onanuga, his special adviser on information and strategy, Tinubu described Amusan’s performance as a display of resilience and determination.
“Tobi has once again demonstrated that with patriotic fervour, coupled with hard work and determination, any height is surmountable,” the president said.
Tinubu added that her achievement is a source of pride for Nigeria and assured her of the government’s continued support.
Tinubu also congratulated Farouk Gumel on his appointment as chairman of Botswana Sovereign Wealth Fund Limited, saying it is a recognition of his expertise and dedication.
