President Bola Tinubu is meeting newly elected President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio and some governors at the State House, Abuja.
Politics Nigeria earlier reported that Akpabio emerged victorious over Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari, the former governor of Zamfara State.
Akpabio polled 63 votes while Senator Yari secured the support of 46 senators.
Also in the President’s office are Imo Governor and chairman technical committee on the APC Senate election Hope Uzodinma.
He is accompanied by Lagos Governor Babjide Sanwo-Olu and former Kano Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
