Adebayo Adelabu, the minister of power, who contested the Oyo 2023 gubernatorial election under the Accord Party, is poised to rejoin the All Progressives Congress (APC), reliable sources informed The Nation.
Adelabu’s departure from APC came in the lead-up to the Oyo 2023 elections following his loss to Senator Teslim Folarin during the party’s primary election.
In a letter obtained by The Nation, addressed to the APC state chairman and leaders in Oyo State, Adelabu disclosed his intention to formally announce his return at an event scheduled to take place at the party’s office in Oke-Ado on December 15, 2023.
Expressing his eagerness for a collaborative relationship with the state executive, party leaders, and members, Adelabu highlighted his commitment to the renewed “Hope Agenda” championed by President Tinubu and the broader APC party.
He underscored his aspiration to facilitate the establishment of an APC-led government at the state level in 2027, articulating his dedication to aligning with the party’s objectives and agenda moving forward.
