Operatives from Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd (TSSNL), led by Chief Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, have intercepted another vessel suspected of involvement in crude oil theft in Bayelsa State. This comes just weeks after a similar apprehension in January.
The vessel, identified as MT Harbour Spirit with IMO number 8226272, is currently anchored at Tantita’s facility in Oporoza, the headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Delta State.
The recent development follows the January arrest of MT Kali (number 8782800) by TSSNL in collaboration with the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The vessel allegedly transported a large amount of illegally obtained crude oil from the offshore Sokebolou Field base in Bayelsa.
