A Nigerian Army sergeant identified as Jidean Samson has been killed by a passenger train at the railway crossing at PWD.
Politics Nigeria gathered that the said train was enroute Iddo in Lagos from Ibadan when it eventually rammed into the soldier who wanted to cross the rail line on his bike.
The incident happened just three months after a passenger train ran into a Lagos State government staff bus conveying workers and their families in the same spot.
According to an eye witness, the deceased was attached to the 9th Brigade in Ikeja in Lagos until his untimely passing.
The 9th Brigade military base had also reacted to the death of Jidean and confirmed that they had been informed.
The military source, who pleaded anonymity because he was not authorised to speak, said the military authority has moved the body to the Military Hospital mortuary in Yaba, Lagos.
