Donald Trump has officially been sworn in for his second term as the 47th President of the United States during a ceremony held under the Capitol rotunda in Washington, DC.
In his inaugural address, Trump reaffirmed his commitment to fighting what he called the “radical and corrupt establishment,” and pledging to “liberate” the country from its influence.
The former president also previewed a series of executive actions he plans to implement in the coming days, including declaring a state of emergency at the southern border with Mexico to address immigration concerns.
Trump, the first U.S. president to return to office after facing criminal convictions, criticized the “weaponization” of the justice system, despite his own history of using it against political opponents.
The ceremony was moved indoors due to freezing temperatures, breaking the traditional outdoor inauguration setting.
