Former Minister of Special Duties and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, has formally submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest for the position of National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The party’s Elective National Convention is scheduled to hold in Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15 and 16, 2025.
Turaki, reportedly adopted as the consensus candidate by a majority of PDP stakeholders, submitted his forms to the National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) Secretariat at Legacy House, Shehu Shagari Way, Maitama, Abuja, on Monday.
He was accompanied by friends and political associates during the submission.
Meanwhile, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Sule Lamido, who is also vying for the chairmanship position, visited the PDP headquarters earlier in the day to purchase his forms but met no officials on ground.
An aggrieved Lamido later told journalists that he might seek legal redress if he is unable to obtain the forms.
