The Principal of August Community Grammar school, Joshua Adeyemi; his vice, Ifedayo Yesufu and three teachers of the Federal Government’s N-Power scheme have been kidnapped.
The three abducted teachers are, Oloyede Bukola, Adagunodo Funmilayo and Blessing Okeke.
They were abducted on Thursday afternoon while travelling in a toyota car along Auga-Ise Road in Akoko East local government area.
Their abduction has since thrown the people of Akoko into panic.
According to an eyewitness account, the incident occurred while they were travelling in a Blue Toyota Corolla car belonging to the school Principal.
It was learnt that the unsuspecting victims were ambushed and whisked away into the thick forest by the abductors.
One of the victims, Okeke, was released after the captors discovered that she was pregnant.
Meanwhile, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ikare division, Oladutoye Akinwan, said detectives have been deployed to comb the forest in a bid to secure the release of the victims.
Akinwa added that the vehicle in which the victims were travelling before their abduction had been recovered from the spot which it was abandoned by the kidnappers.
