Usmanu Danfodiyo University Asokoro has announced the emergence of Professor Bashir Garba as the new Vice Chancellor of the institution.
The institution made the announcement in a statement issued by the Pro-Chancellor of the university, Professor Attahiru Jega.
Garba, a former Secretary to the State Government and a commissioner for Higher Education in Sokoto is the current Vice Chancellor of Sokoto State University.
He served as the staff member of Danfodiyo University before embarking on leave of absence.
Before his appointment, Garba several positions in Sokoto State, including the Secretary to the State Government, Commissioner, Higher Education and Rector, Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic before being appointed as the Vice Chancellor of the Sokoto state University.
