A video has emerged of the so-called ‘Unknown Gunmen’ criminal group attacking the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Owerri, Imo State, on Monday.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that gallant police officers repelled the attack, although the gunmen burnt parts of the INEC office.
Three members of the gang were neutralized by the police while two others were captured with bullet wounds.
This newspaper learned that security operatives are still hot on the trail of some members of the gang that escaped with gunshot wounds.
“This is happening live. This is INEC office in Owerri, When we say no election, we mean what we say. This is Live. This is operation B44,” one of the attackers who was capturing the moment on phone, said.

This is very unfortunate. Although I believe in Biafra, I don’t recommend the use of violence. If we can support Pete Obi to win, then we will present our request through peaceful means in a real Democratic setup.
