Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Dubai for Saudi Arabia after representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the commissioning of a $315 million oil production and storage facility by Oriental Energy Limited (OERL).
Shettima was seen off by key figures, including OERL’s Executive Chairman, Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi, and Executive Vice Chairman, Engr. Goni M. Sheikh.
Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima’s spokesman, wrote on X that the Vice President is now en route to Madinah and Makkah for the Lesser Hajj (Umrah), scheduled to take place from December 16 to 19, 2024, accompanied by Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum.
He said on December 20, Shettima will meet with the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Jeddah to discuss co-financing for the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ Phase II) and the enhancement of IsDB projects in Nigeria.
