The Director of Media and Advocacy of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Femi Babafemi, has shared a video showing a rodent “misbehaving” after gobbling cannabis.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that the rat strayed into the exhibit room where cannabis was stored in one of the agency’s commands and a few minutes after, it began to misbehave.
Babafemi wrote on his known Twitter handle on Monday night: “Stray rat gets high on C/S: So this rat on Friday strayed into the exhibit room where cannabis was stored in one of @ndlea_nigeria commands and few minutes after, it began to misbehave.
“Need I say more? The message is clear. #SayNoToMindAlteringSubstances#”

Although there have been calls in some quarters for the legalisation and decriminalisation of the growing of cannabis in Nigeria, the NDLEA has repeatedly said that the drug has destroyed a lot of lives across the country and should not be legalised for pecuniary gains.
