
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the starting date for the 2023 school-based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the start date is set at Monday, May 8th.
This announcement was made by the Head of National Office, Patrick Areghan, at a pre-examination press conference on Thursday in Lagos State.
The exams are scheduled to conclude on Friday, June 23rd, giving candidates a seven-week period to demonstrate their academic prowess.
A total of 1,621,853 candidates across 20,851 government and private schools have registered for the examination, according to Areghan.
