The immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike have arrived at the National Assembly for his ministerial screening.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Wike, who was accompanied by his wife and some followers, is scheduled to be screened by the Senate alongside other nominees of President Bola Tinubu.
The PDP chieftain was one of the first set of nominees forwarded to the Senate by Tinubu, who emerged victorious in the 2023 presidential election.
Wike’s nomination has been widely seen as a form of compensation for supporting Tinubu during the election.
