JUST IN: Yahaya Bello reacts to bloody robbery incident in Kogi

The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has reacted to the bloody robbery incident that occurred in Isanlu on Thursday.

The robbers attacked First Bank and also a police station in the area, causing the death of citizens and security operatives.

In his reaction, Mr Bello in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed in Lokoja, the State capital asked security personnel to fetch the ugly incident perpetrators.

“Our open arms is no invitation to criminals. Our first responsibility as a government is to ensure the security of lives and property in the state. The bank robbery was a recurrence decimal in Kogi state before the current administration.

“Together with all security agencies in the state, we ended the regime of this form of crime since 2017, we will not allow this to reverse the gains we have recorded in protecting lives and property of our people,” he said.

He, therefore, commiserates the family of those who lost their loved ones in the unfortunate attack.
