The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has called on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to desist from taking actions that could harm the party.
Felix Hyat, a former Minister of Aviation urged Wike to opt for a resolution through means of dialogue to end the crisis with the PDP.
According to Hyat, threatening PDP governors who support Wike’s successor, Siminalayi Fubara is not something to be celebrated.
Hyat’s caution to the former Rivers State governor follows Wike’s threat to PDP governors throwing their support to Fubara.
However, Hyat said governors across the country have good reasons to be involved and support Fubara who is their colleague.
He urged the FCT minister to ensure he does not bring the part to ruins with his action.
His words, “Wike should remember that when he was a governor, his colleagues always had his back, and they protected each other.
“Nothing has changed in that regard. Instead of telling governors to stay away, Wike should have seen it from this perspective and sought their support.
“I strongly believe it’s wrong to tell people to stay away when a system they are meant to benefit from is under threat. If the system fails, everyone loses.
“I don’t think it’s right to say or do something that could lead to such an outcome,” Hyat said.
