Kidnappers Invade Kwara Community, Leaving One Dead and Many Missing

Tragedy struck the peaceful community of Isin in Kwara State as suspected kidnappers unleashed terror, resulting in the death of one individual and numerous reported missing persons.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the assailants reportedly launched their attack on Tuesday along the Ijara/Isin road, targeting unsuspecting travelers.

Among their victims was a respected local chief, Mr. Adeyemi, hailing from the Pamo Isin community.

An urgent message circulated on the community’s WhatsApp forum, cautioning residents and natives against traveling on the treacherous Ijara/Isanlu Isin road, Daily Trust reports.

The alarming message revealed that an unspecified number of individuals had fallen victim to kidnapping, while the life of Chief Adeyemi was tragically cut short.

SP Okasanmi Ajayi, the spokesperson for the Kwara State Police command, verified the incident, addressing reporters in Ilorin on Wednesday. He somberly confirmed, “Based on the available information, one person has been confirmed dead, and another individual remains missing.”
