Kogi Guber: “APC Hired Hoodlums to Burn Our Campaign Office”, SDP Alleges

Social Democratic Party (SDP) deputy governorship candidate Sam Ranti Abenemi has accused members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of being responsible for burning their campaign office in Lokoja.

According to Abenemi, one of the state governor’s Senior Special Advisers spearheaded the burning of the campaign office.

It was, however, gathered that hoodlums suspected to be political thugs set ablaze the campaign office of the Kogi State governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) at midnight on Sunday.

The armed thugs also set ablaze vehicles parked inside the secretariat before attacking security men stationed at the premises, but some residents were able to put off the inferno, which destroyed valuables, including important documents.

Meanwhile, Abenemi stated that the hoodlums came in large numbers and set all the properties in the office on fire, including generators, computers, campaign materials, and televisions.

While calling for calm from all party supporters, Abenemi vowed that everything legal would be done to address the issue.
