A candidate in the ongoing Kogi governorship Primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Captain Idris Wada, was reportedly seen sharing ‘dollars’ to delegates at the venue of the primaries in Lokoja on Tuesday.
In Footage seen by POLITICS NIGERIA, Wada can be seen wielding what was said to be a bundle of dollars in a white envelope before handing it over to a delegate to share amongst others.
Wada, a former governor of Kogi State, is throwing his hat into the ring again to vie against the current governor of the state, Yahaya Bello, who emerged victorious in the Guber Primaries of his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.
However, in the early hours of Wednesday, the venue of the PDP primaries which was the popular Confluence Stadium in Lokoja was attacked by unknown gunmen. Delegates and party dignitaries swiftly fled to safety.
