Kogi: Yahaya Bello sacks security aide, makes new appointments

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has fired his security aide in charge of Kabba Bunu Local Government Area, Ayo Ariyo, with immediate effect.

Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mrs. Folashade Ayoade Arike, made this known in a statement on Thursday night in Lokoja, the state capital.

The statement, however, refused to disclose the reason for the sacking of Ariyo. It noted that all the appointments take immediate effect.

It noted that the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Political Matters, Kabba /Ijumu Federal Constituency, and the immediate past administrator of Kabba/Bunu Local Government, Olorunleke Moses, will replace Ariyo.

According to the statement, the governor also ratified the appointment of Mohmoh Abdul Lasis as his new Personal Assistant to replace the deceased Hon. Suleiman Abdulateef Adinoyi, who died on Wednesday.

The statement noted that Adeyemi Olabode John is to take over form Moses as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, Kabba/Ijumu Federal Constituency.
