Kwankwasiyya is done, Ganduje speaks on Kwankwaso’s 2027 political relevance

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje has said that the Kwakwasiyya movement of Rabiu Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State is done politically.

Ganduje said this at the 8th and 9th APC Kano State House of Assembly Forum Dinner.

According to him, Kwankwaso, a leader of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) was only able to make waves in the 2023 election in Kano because there was a crisis within the state chapter of the APC.

Boasting about the political strength of the APC, Ganduje represented by Abdullahi Abbas, the party chairman in the state said the APC will seize Kano in the forthcoming 2027 election.

He said, “I am always surprised when Rabiu Kwankwaso claims he has the people’s support.

“I can swear to God, if not for our internal issues, he (Kwankwaso) wouldn’t have won any election in Kano. This time around, he will see the realityn,” Ganduje said.

He also noted that the majority of those who threw their support behind Kwankwaso and the NNPP are currently disappointed and full of regrets.

“Kwankwasiyya is done, and even the governor is unaware of everything happening around him,” he added.
