Kwankwaso Knocks FG for Snubbing Kano Governor, Handing over Palliative Rice to APC Members

The National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has condemned the decision of the Bola Tinubu-led federal government to bypass Governor Abba Yusuf in the distribution of palliative rice in Kano State.

According to the prominent northern politician, the rice was, instead, handed over to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

In a statement posted on social media, Kwankwaso said, “For the past week, I have been in Kano and have witnessed the federal government’s distribution of rice palliatives to 35 states through their governors, except Kano State. The state’s share was given to APC stalwarts to handle, which is a clear insult to our democracy and a blatant display of partisanship.”

Kwankwaso called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to immediately stop this “naked derailment of democracy.”

He also raised concerns about the frequent posting and reposting of State Directors of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Kano, which he believes is negatively affecting the state’s security.
