Kwankwaso Not Leaving NNPP, Will Unseat Tinubu in 2027 – Party Chairman

Hashim Dungurawa, the chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has debunked rumours that the leader of the party, Rabiu Kwankwaso plans to dump the party.

Speaking with journalists on Thursday, January 2, Dungurawa said Kwankwaso has no plans to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He, however, noted that the NNPP was gaining a lot of momentum and already expanding its presence across all 36 states of the federation.
Dungurawa noted that the party has also beagn to establish offices and structures in various states and Local Government Areas across the country.
According to him, this new development is aimed at strategically positioning the party to emerge victorious at the federal and state level during 2027 elections.
He further commended the the Kano State Government under the leadership of an NNPP governor for its strides in democratic leadership.
“We are fortunate to have a God-fearing governor who has transformed Kano through infrastructure development, empowerment initiatives, and human capital growth.
“Today, Kano can compete with any modern city globally, thanks to state-of-the-art facilities in both urban and rural areas.
“He is a shining example of what true leadership can achieve. It is now up to us to replicate this success at the national level in 2027,” he added.
