“Labour Party will win Lagos state more convincingly in 2027” – Rhodes-Vivour

The Labour Party’s 2023 governorship candidate in Lagos, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has declared that the party will win the gubernatorial election in the state by 2027.

Speaking in Umuahia, Abia State, at an extended Stakeholders’ meeting of the Labour Party, Rhodes-Vivour said the party is now strengthened position to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos.

Rhodes-Vivour noted that since the 2023 elections, where the Labour Party made a significant impact in Lagos in the presidential poll, the party has been consolidating and strategising for future success.

“LP is now well structured, not just to win but to take power in 2027. What we have come to do here in Umuahia is to bring everybody on the same page. We are set for new victories in 2027.

“I believe Labour Party will win Lagos State more convincingly in 2027. Since after the 2023 elections, work has not stopped; we have not gone quiet. Every day, we are getting stronger and stronger,” he said.

He also praised the party’s 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi, Abia State Governor Alex Otti, and other party stakeholders for their roles in repositioning the Labour Party.
