Joe Igbokwe, the Special Adviser for Drainage and Water Resources to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reacted to the leaked audio conversation between the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi and the Founder of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the audio clip released by online newspaper, Peoples Gazette, has set the social media on fire since Saturday.
In the audio, Obi could be heard pleading with Oyedepo to help him mobilise Christian electorate ahead of the February 25 election especially those in the North Central, declaring the election was “a religious war”. The phone-call reportedly transpired on the eve of the election.
Igbokwe while reacting to the conversation, said the Labour Party’s presidential ambition has been “completely ruined forever in Nigeria”.
He wrote on his known Facebook page: “Please know this and have inner peace: The Labour Party’s Religious War agenda planned in Nigeria has been bursted [sic] and the presidential ambition rendered nugatory, crushed, decimated and completely ruined forever in Nigeria.”
