The government of Lagos State has released a traffic diversion advisory ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s visit to the state.
In a detailed message released to motorists and other road users, the state government and its ministry of transportation advised motorists exiting from the Lagos Continental Hotel end to connect through the Kilimanjaro Junction on Ozumba Mbadiwe Road.
This category of road users are also expected to turn left in order to be able to access the Bonny Camp Roundabout or turn right to head towards Lekki through the Ozumba Mbadiwe Road to reach their desired destinations.
In addition, those approaching Kofo Abayomi from Bonny Camp have been advised to pass through the Ozumba Mbadiwe Road.
Upon reaching the Kilimanjaro Junction, they are expected to turn right and continue to their desired destinations through the Lagos Continental Hotel.
For those coming from Independence/McEwen Bridge, an alternative route has been advised for them.
They are expected to make a left turn at the IMB building Junction on Ahmadu Bello Way by Atlantic City to Link Akin Adesola Road and continue through the available inner streets.
According to the advisory released by the Lagos State government, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LATSMA) would be managing the traffic situation throughout the president’s visit.
Road users have also been advised to drive safely and adhere to the instructions listed by the state government.
Recall that Politics Nigeria had reported that President Bola Tinubu would be visiting Lagos Staye on Tuesday, May 27, for the 50th anniversary of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
After the summit, the president will commission some projects already completed in the state.
In addition, Tinubu would virtually commission some other projects in Kano State.
He is billed to will observe the Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the State House in Dodan Barracks, before his return to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.
