The body of former Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, have been flown to Benin City, the Edo State capital, in preparation for his funeral rites.
Arase passed away on 31 August 2025 at Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja, following a brief illness.
A memorial service was held in his honour in Abuja last week.
On Saturday, the Nigerian Air Force transported his body to Benin for the commencement of final burial activities.
