
The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas has expressed his satisfaction over the 2025 Local Government Council elections in the state.
Ibas who spoke to journalists while monitoring the election process said he was satisfied with what he saw across the state.
He stated that the people of Rivers and its environs witnessed a peaceful election where the electorate and all the officials of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission abided by the rules and guidelines of the day.
Also impressed with the voter turnout, Ibas said he has seen an eagerness by the people to participate and reclaim good governance in Rivers State.
“I am very happy with what I have witnessed today. The process has been notably peaceful, from the significant turnout to the orderly conduct of both voters and election officials.
“I am confident that at the end of the day, we will have a credible set of results that we will all be proud of as a state.
“Generally, the situation has been calm and seamless across the state. We have not received any major negative reports, which is a testament to the collective desire for peace and normalcy,” Ibas said.
