Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, January 24, 2025, returned to the country after testifying at the International Chamber of Commerce Court of Arbitration in Paris, France.
Buhari had testified against a former Minister of Power, Olu Agunloye at the ongoing arbitration for the controversial $6 billion Mambilla Power Project.
He testified against Agunloye alongside another former president, Olusegun Obasanjo.
In a post shared on X, Bashir Ahmad, a former aide to Buhari said the ex-president returned on Friday.
Bashir posted, “Former President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Nigeria after defending the country before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris in connection with the $2.3 billion arbitration case filed by Sunrise Power.”
