Facts have emerged as to how Maryam Shetty, a former ministerial nominee found out that her name has been withdrawn from the list sent to the Senate by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
It was gathered that Shetty, accompanied by some associates, was at the Senate for screening when she got the news of being dropped.
In a video, she was seen posing for photographs with some persons before being led away.
Sources have it that her name was on the Senate’s order paper as she was among those lined up for screening on Friday, August 4.
However, while still in the Senate, another nominee from Kano would face the upper legislative chamber for screening.
Dr Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure, former commissioner in Kano is the new ministerial nominee from the state.
In a letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio and read during plenary on Friday, the president also nominated Festus Keyamo, former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, as minister.
