The Yobe State Government confirmed the casualties, revealing that the attack also left five individuals injured, with four in critical condition.

Four are in critical conditions, while the other, sustained a minor injury and he is in stable condition.”

Abdulsalam emphasized the vulnerability of Mafa due to its location, making it a frequent target for Boko Haram insurgents.

“The insurgents are not confronting the military; they are confronting innocent civilians who are soft targets,” he noted.
