A large number of members from Damagum in Fune Local Government Area, hometown of PDP National Chairman, Umar Illiya Damagum announced their switch to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The defectors, drawn from all 17 local government areas of the state, were formally received into the ADC during a ceremony in Damagum, where they were issued membership cards.
