National secretariat of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) was in a frenzy on Tuesday afternoon following the forceful takeover of leadership by a faction of the group.
Politics Nigeria reported that there confusion at the NURTW’s national secretariat on Tuesday morning when two factions of the union clashed over the leadership crisis rocking the union.
At the end of the clash which led to sporadic gunshots around Garki 2, a faction loyal to Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) of the Lagos Parks and Management Committee defeated Tajudeen Badru Agbede’s group and forced its way into the secretariat.
In a video shared after the class by an X (Twitter) user, Nwa, leader of the MC Oluomo faction was in a jubilant mood while addressing his members.
“There’s no problem at all,” he said in Yoruba amid cheers from members.
