The Nigerian military has killed a notorious bandit leader, Na’ballo, and eight other bandits in Zamfara State.
Na’ballo, a high-profile bandit and ally of Ado Aleiro, was responsible for terrorizing communities in the state.
According to Zagazola Makama, a Lake Chad Basin counter-terrorism and insurgency expert, Na’ballo was terminated during an internal confrontation among bandit factions in the area.
In a separate incident on Monday, suspected Fulani bandits launched an attack on motorists between Kucheri and Magazu villages. However, the motorists narrowly escaped and alerted the military, who responded swiftly and neutralized the bandits in a coordinated operation.
All eight attackers were killed, and no civilian was harmed during the military intervention.
