Ministerial List: Tinubu May Unveil Cabinet Members Today – Ex-Presidential Aide

The digital communications aide to former President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, says President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would likely unveil the highly anticipated ministerial list on Tuesday.

Ahmad made the disclosure on Monday night via his Twitter handle.

Politics Nigeria reports that according to the 1999 Constitution (as amended), President Tinubu has barely five days to the 60-day window to submit his ministerial list for screening and confirmation by the National Assembly.

Buhari’s aide said the list would be announced at the Senate on Tuesday, provided there was no last-minute change.

“Barring any last-minute change, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s much-anticipated ministerial nominees’ list will be announced by the Senate tomorrow, Tuesday”, he wrote.

The ministerial list is expected to include at least one nominee across the 36 States.

It would be recalled that former president Buhari had appointed 44 ministers six months after his inauguration in 2015.
