Nigerian singer, Abiola Akinbiyi, aka Bella Shmurda, has been forced to call off his Canada tour due to the sudden demise of his dear friend, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka MohBad.
Shmurda disclosed his decision in a tweet on Saturday, September 16.
However, the singer noted that new dates would be announced for the tour which was earlier scheduled for September.
He said: “Due to the recent sad event and unforeseen circumstances, I have had to cancel my Tour of Canada. New dates would be communicated.”
Shmurda had urged Mohbad to exit Marlians Record over his disagreement with his manager, who is a relative of the record label boss, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley.
Meanwhile, Naira Marley had said he was “heartbroken” by Mohbad’s death, and that he will “be truly missed”.
He admitted that although they had “disagreements, no harm whatsoever was wished on Mohbad”.
Naira Marley expressed his condolences to Mohbad’s family and called for a thorough investigation into his death.
