My administration has zero tolerance for corruption, Northern governor boasts

The governor of Sokoto, Ahmed Aliyu, has said that his administration has zero tolerance for any form of corruption among public and civil servants.

Aliyu made the disclosure while administering the oath of office to all the permanent secretaries newly appointed across various ministries in the state.

Calling on the new appointees to ensure they are innovative and bring about new ideas to their various offices, the governor said his aim is to make Sokoto civil service the best and envy of other states.

He said, “I expect you to bring all your experiences to bear in diligently and dispassionately discharging your responsibilities.

“Remember that this administration operates on a zero-tolerance level for corruption,”

He also assured the appointees and all civil servants in the state that his administration is committed to prompt payment of salaries, pensions and cash allocations across Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
