
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has commiserated with the victims of the fire incidents at Afriland Tower and Mandilas Market on Lagos Island.
In a post on X, Atiku said his thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those who lost loved ones in the Afriland Tower fire on Tuesday.
He also sympathised with traders who sustained injuries and lost goods in the second fire that gutted Mandilas Market and adjoining plazas.
“I wish the injured receiving treatment at various hospitals speedy recovery,” Atiku said.
He extended condolences to the management and staff of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), United Capital, and the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, which were affected by the Afriland Tower fire.
