
The wife to the Senate President, Ekaette Akpabio, has dismissed the allegations of sexual harassment and intimidation levelled against her husband by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Ekaette while speaking to journalists at her residence in Abuja, said the Kogi Central lawmaker was living in a figment of her imagination over her husband, Godswill Akpabio.
The former Akwa Ibom First Lady also said that her family and that of Natasha’s have had a cordial relations and her allegations against the Senate President are unfounded.
Ekaette said, “The allegations are unfounded, as she was present at her family residence on the alleged date 8th December, 2023.
“Both families enjoy a long-standing cordial relationship that predates Senator Natasha’s marriage to her husband,” the former First lady noted.
She further described her husband as a disciplined man who loves and respects his family.
According to Ekaette, contrary to Akpoti-Uduaghan’s allegations, her husband has a track record of supporting women inclusion in governance even before his emergence as Nigeria’s Senate President.
She urged other women to resist the urge of peddling false allegations while threatened to seek legal redress against Akpoti-Uduaghan on the matter.
