As part of his efforts to revamp Nigeria’s economy, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday, August 8, unveiled a fiscal policy and tax reforms committee comprising gurus from both the private and public sectors.
The committee, chaired by Taiwo Oyedele, a tax and policy expert, is expected to deliver tax reforms in 30 days.
Speaking on Tuesday, Oyedele disclosed that members of the committee were carefully picked to ensure diversity of knowledge, expertise, and broad representation by key stakeholder groups across the geopolitical zones.
Interestingly, Orire Agbaje, a 400-level Economics student of the University of Ibadan (UI), is a member of the committee.
