Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajuddeen, has assured Nigerians that the tenth National Assembly will work closely with the executive to ensure the development of the country.
Abbas made the promise when he and his Deputy, Benjamin Kalu, led a delegation of members to appreciate the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her support to their emergence as presiding officers of the lower chamber.
In a statement by his spokesperson, Musa Krishi, Abbas appreciated the overwhelming mandate given to him by his colleagues and noted that it would spur them to work diligently to achieve the Nigeria of our dream.
Abbas further assured Remi that the House of Representatives would give President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration all the support it needed to succeed.
The Speaker noted that the current administration would have it easy relating with them as the president, the vice president, the first lady, the Chief of Staff, the Deputy Chief of Staff, and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) were all members of the National Assembly.
In her remark, the First Lady congratulated Abbas and Kalu on their victory, maintaining that with the calibre of leadership and membership of the tenth Assembly, Nigeria would be great again.
