Joe Igbokwe, special adviser to Lagos state governor on drainage and water resources, says the collapse of the national grid seems “fake”.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that according to Igbokwe, the electricity situation might be part of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP’s) ploy to reclaim power in 2023.
“President Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) should wake up. PDP is desperately dangerous and brazenly trying to get back to power by all means. This frequent system collapse of the power grid look like fake,” Igbokwe wrote on his known Facebook page on Tuesday.
Many parts of Nigeria were on Tuesday thrown into darkness following another system collapse of the National Grid.
The collapse is happening barely 48 hours after the national grid collapsed at 10.40 a.m on Monday resulting in blackouts in some parts of the country.
Electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos) in Nigeria sent messages to their customers, asking for understanding as they try to restore power.
