
Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu has urged all personnel of the Nigeria Police Force to ensure they lead the people with integrity and respect for human rights.
Tinubu made the call while speaking at the maiden National Police Day which took place on Monday, April 7, 2025.
Represented by the vice President, Kashim Shettima, President Bola Tinubu at the event said with professionalism adopted by officers and men of the Police there would be an environment where security, peace and just reign supreme.
In a video post shared by Stanley Nkwocha, the spokesperson for the vice president, Shettima was captured saying that Nigerians and the country at large depend on the Police to succeed.
He said, “To the officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force: you are the face of our nation. Lead with integrity, fairness, and respect for human dignity.
The nation depends on you, and together, we shall succeed in building a Nigeria where security, peace, and justice reign supreme,” he said.
